It’s been more than a year since I last rented a dress from Rent the Runway! This past weekend, John and I headed to LA over the holiday for our friend’s wedding. The wedding invitation specified “cocktail attire,” so it was the perfect opportunity for me to rent another dress from Rent the Runway. As per usual, I went down the RTR rabbit hole, looking through tons of dresses before settling on the one: a Yumi Kim Save the Date dress rental.
Happy September! I’m running a little late on my empties post because I was out of town for a friend’s wedding over the long weekend (which was a blast!). I meant to take empties pics before I left town so that I could write this post while I was away, but I didn’t get around to it. Whoopsie! I didn’t empty many products in August, and most of the ones I did empty were minis:

My 11th consecutive San Diego Comic-Con is in the books! I had a lot of anxiety leading up to the trip because I haven’t been feeling my best lately. The con was rough for me at times, but I survived…and even managed to have some fun. 😛 I’ve been back home for almost a week and it’s taken me some time to sit down and write this post. Beware: as with all my SDCC recaps, long post ahead!

I’m late posting my June empties because I’ve been taking a break from using the computer and phone. My right arm has been acting up from repetitive motion so I’ve been trying to rest it…which is very hard to do these days. My arm still doesn’t feel good but I wanted to get this post out before my 11th San Diego Comic-Con!

Summer is officially here and so is my 26th Stitch Fix! I come to hate summer more every year (the heat! the humidity! oh, the humanity!) but here we are. I’m still working on the best way to take photos of myself modeling my pieces, but I’m decently satisfied with the pics for my June Stitch Fix.

My latest FabFitFun box allllmost arrived on my birthday. The package was initially supposed to arrive on my bday, but it got pushed back a day. That’s fine, I’ll still consider it my birthday box!
In lieu of a Friday Five today, I want to recap my birthday, which was yesterday. It’s hard to believe I just turned 41! Mentally I still feel like a kid, but physically, well, that’s a whole other story. 😛 Overall, though, I’m pretty okay with being in my 40s. This past year was rough at times but it definitely had its highlights, too. Here’s hoping 41 brings all sorts of positive things!
1. Pacifica Leave Pretty Anti-Puff Patches: I bought these on a whim at Target because they were so damn cute! Unfortunately, they turned out to be a no for me. The leaf shape is adorable but it doesn’t actually fit the whole undereye area. In my opinion, they’re more form than function. The directions say to leave (hah) them on for 10 to 20 minutes, but they started to sting a bit so I removed them after about eight minutes and rinsed my undereye area. Stinging around the eyes is no bueno! The sensation dissipated quickly after rinsing, but I wouldn’t buy these again.
