My latest FabFitFun box allllmost arrived on my birthday. The package was initially supposed to arrive on my bday, but it got pushed back a day. That’s fine, I’ll still consider it my birthday box!

In lieu of a Friday Five today, I want to recap my birthday, which was yesterday. It’s hard to believe I just turned 41! Mentally I still feel like a kid, but physically, well, that’s a whole other story. 😛 Overall, though, I’m pretty okay with being in my 40s. This past year was rough at times but it definitely had its highlights, too. Here’s hoping 41 brings all sorts of positive things!

1. Pacifica Leave Pretty Anti-Puff Patches: I bought these on a whim at Target because they were so damn cute! Unfortunately, they turned out to be a no for me. The leaf shape is adorable but it doesn’t actually fit the whole undereye area. In my opinion, they’re more form than function. The directions say to leave (hah) them on for 10 to 20 minutes, but they started to sting a bit so I removed them after about eight minutes and rinsed my undereye area. Stinging around the eyes is no bueno! The sensation dissipated quickly after rinsing, but I wouldn’t buy these again.

I was super excited when Dr. Brandt sent me another gift last month! I recently reviewed the Neck Sculpting Cream that they sent me, and I was so honored to have the opportunity to try another Dr. Brandt product, the Needles No More® Wrinkle Smoothing Cream. These PR gifts are always a surprise and a delight. Thank you so much, Dr. Brandt!

My birthday month arrives tomorrow…I can’t believe June is already almost here! I didn’t empty as many beauty products in May as I did in April, but I did finish up a couple heavy hitters from my routine.

Look at me, I’m back with a Friday Five!
1. Game of Thrones: I cannot believe it’s over. The abbreviated final season felt rushed, and I wasn’t ready for it to end. My initial reaction to the end was confusion. After processing, I feel somewhat satisfied. Look, a lot of people hated season eight. Was the series finale was perfect? Nope. Did it end the way I hoped? Not one bit. However, GoT has always been a surprising show, and I appreciate being surprised right up until the end. I think the creators did a decent job of bringing characters’ stories to a close. Decent isn’t spectacular, but I’m not going to rage about the ending—not when we have legit real-world issues to worry about. And we can always rewatch our favorite holy-shit moments.

I’m so delinquent on writing this post! I know, I’ve been saying that a lot lately…cringe. 😛 I’m finally here to share my thoughts on a lovely PR gift that I received from Dr. Brandt Skincare: the Needles No More® Neck Sculpting Cream with Gua Sha Technique. Thank you so much, Dr. Brandt! I don’t receive many PR packages, but it’s always THE BEST surprise when I do get one.
First, let’s take a moment to admire this beautiful package:

I’ve been meaning to write this post for a few days but kept putting it off because I wasn’t in a writing mood. I even skipped writing a Friday Five last week! It happens to the best of us. Anyway, I’m finally here to share the goodies that I purchased with my 15% off VIB discount during Sephora’s latest beauty insider event!
I made two separate purchases: one in-store the day the event launched, and one online for the items that my store didn’t carry (my local store is pretty small). The in-store half of my haul included the items pictured here:

1. Avengers Endgame: we weren’t able to see Endgame on opening weekend, but we made it a point to see it this week. It’s been kind of hard dodging spoilers! I got semi-spoiled without technically getting spoiled, but it didn’t ruin the movie for me at all. I won’t say anything beyond this: I loved the movie! Okay, I’ll also say this (which spoils nothing): there’s one character in particular that I’m looking forward to seeing people cosplay as at San Diego Comic-Con this summer. If you’ve seen the movie, comment with your guesses on whom I’m referring to!

I emptied a lot of products in April, though many of them were minis. They still totally count in my book, though!
