Welcome, Spring!

I’m so excited that we’re finally starting to see signs of spring. Winter in DC was pretty mild, with only one significant snowfall, but I’m ready for more consistent warmth. Now that it’s starting to warm up, I’m looking forward to doing some morning weekend hikes again.

Let’s see what beauty products I emptied last month!

March 2024 beauty empties

Would I Repurchase?
  • Pure Altitude Alpine Milk with Edelweiss & Arnica mini: a free gift when I purchased some skin care items at the brand’s boutique in Megève. It was nice to have while traveling and I liked how gentle it is. Would consider ordering in the future.
  • Trader Joe’s Body Butter in White Gardenia: I love the scent of gardenia, so this body butter was great. And it didn’t irritate my sensitive skin! This was from a holiday body butter trio, but if they sold this scent on its own I would buy it.
  • The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm [gifted; affiliate link]: this is a good first cleanse for me. I don’t think I’d want to use it as a solo or second cleanse, because I do feel like it leaves a bit of a residue. But it worked well as a first cleanse at night to help break up the SPF on my face. At $13 for a five ounce tube, it’s a great deal and I would consider buying on my own.
  • Thayers Facial Toner, Unscented: [affiliate link]: I’ve gone through many bottles of this classic toner, and I already have another in my stash.
  • Youth to the People Kombucha + 10% AHA Power Exfoliant [gifted; affiliate link]: I liked this exfoliant and think it helped brighten my skin when used two or three times a week at night. I did experience a slight stinging sensation, but it never caused any visible irritation. Would consider buying on my own.
  • Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant [gifted; affiliate link]: I think this liquid exfoliant does a good job of keeping my nose and chin pores clear. I also sometimes use it on my chest to help with some small pimples that I tend to get there. The brand has sent me this many times, but I would buy it on my own.
  • La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVmune 400 Invisible Fluid SPF50+ [affiliate link]: bought at a French pharmacy. I wish I had bought another bottle! I really liked this SPF! I don’t currently need a sunscreen because I have enough in my stash, but it’s good to know that Stylevana sells this one (which is not available in US stores).
  • Wardensville Garden Market Lip Balm: bought at a lovely local garden market during one of our pandemic getaways to an Airbnb in West Virginia. A good, minty, basic lip balm that I would buy again.
  • Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Cream sample [affiliate link]: a tiny jar from a Sephora reward set. I used this on our recent LA trip and really liked it. I’d buy this full sized.
Masking

I did not use very many masks last month…here are the few that I did slap on my face.

The Sephora spring savings event is coming up soon. I have a ton of stuff in my cart, but a lot of the items are lip products that I want to take a look at and swatch in person. I will definitely need to edit it down quite a bit before hitting the purchase button!
