The Spookiest Month is Here

I can’t believe this is my fifth year doing 31 Days of Horror! I’ve really been looking forward to the tradition this year. This is also the first year we’ve owned our own home—and Halloween is actually the anniversary of our closing date—so I’m having fun decorating for my favorite holiday.

Bullet Journal Page

In past years I’ve simply written down each movie I watched in my Bullet Journal daily log, and I kept a post draft here for my final list. But this year I also created a full page in my Bullet Journal where I can track the movies I watch each day. I’m not great at drawing, but I’m pretty proud of it:

Movie Suggestions Welcome

I never plan out my horror movies each year. Typically, I’ll have a few ideas and then just wing it. Assuming these are available to stream somewhere, I’d like to rewatch The Cabin in the Woods and the original It miniseries. I always have a bunch of horror movies in my streaming queues, so I’ll go through a bunch of those. But as I write this post, there’s nothing I’m truly dying (hah) to see. I’m always drawn to 70s and 80s films, so I’m sure I’ll watch a bunch of those as per usual.

As with last year, I’ll Tweet each day’s selection. Follow @sheiman for updates (I also post plenty of angry tweets about our garbage president, so if you’re not into that kind of thing, consider yourself forewarned). As always, I’ll post my full watchlist here once October comes to a close.

Here are my full watch lists from the four previous years:

31 Days of Horror 2017

31 Days of Horror 2016
