October Bullet Journal, Sunset Dinner, Halloween Decorations, Cider
1. October Bullet Journal Spread: I enjoy drawing my Bullet Journal spreads each month and I was extra excited to draw October. I’m still not the best at drawing little icons, but this month I think I did a pretty decent job. The leaf looks kinda squished, but I like my other drawings. 🙂
A couple weeks ago, Sephora offered Rouge members early access to some holiday 2018 sets! I’m currently a Rouge member but likely won’t qualify next year, so I wanted to take advantage while I could. I decided to order the Milk Makeup Meet the Fam Bestsellers Set, ($39), which includes seven travel-friendly minis.
I’ve been wanting to do a scientific-ish skin care experiment for awhile; I’m 40 years old and first started noticing dark spots along the tops of my cheekbones when I was about 30. I’ve tried many products that claim to fade dark spots but unfotunately none have worked for me thus far.
Fall is FINALLY here! It’s my favorite season, mostly because it means that scary movie season has arrived. 2018 marks the fourth year in a row in which I’ll watch a horror movie a day all throughout October! I’ve really enjoyed doing this for the past few years so I definitely wanted to continue the tradition.

What to Watch?
I only have a few ideas of what I want to watch this year. The new Halloween is coming out on October 19 so I definitely want to see that in the theater. I’d see the new Goosebumps: Haunted Halloween movie in the theater too, though I’m not dying to see it. I want to re-watch It now that it’s available on HBO. I love Get Out so much that I’ll probably re-watch that if I’m having trouble deciding what I’m in the mood for. I also want to watch Hereditary because I haven’t seen it yet. I’ll most likely re-watch Suspiria because the remake is coming out November 2…not soon enough! I don’t know why they’re releasing it after Halloween. Boo (and I don’t mean that in the scary way)!
Beyond those ideas, I’ll probably just wing it and see what I feel like watching each day. If you want to follow along and see what I’m watching, I’m going to Tweet each day’s selection. Follow @sheiman for updates (I also Tweet a lot of anti-Trump stuff, so if that’s not your bag, well, consider yourself forewarned). And of course, I’ll post my full watchlist here after the month has ended.

Game of Thrones Concert, Kavanaugh Hearing, Bubble Sheet Mask, etc
1. Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience: John planned a surprise date night for us this week, knowing that I would most likely figure out what it was beforehand. He wasn’t wrong—I did figure it out the day beforehand, but that didn’t lessen the excitement for me one bit! This Game of Thrones concert was amazing. The show’s composer, Ramin Djawadi, conducted an orchestra playing songs from the show while scenes played in the background. If you’re a Game of Thrones fan, I highly recommend this concert!
I can’t believe it’s already time for another Play! by Sephora post! My September 2018 box arrived a little earlier than usual, and I got right to filming an unboxing video. My video this month isn’t my favorite, but I posted it anyway because, well, no one’s perfect. I mean…this was the best of three thumbnail options (LOL):
1. Toasted Pumpkin Candles: when Brooklyn Candle Studio sent a newsletter anouncing their new candle scent, Toasted Pumpkin, I immediately ordered two. I absolutely love their soy wax candles and have ordered from their store multiple times. These candle smell amazing and I want my apartment to smell like this all autumn long!
I was psyched to finally receive my second FabFitFun box! I was going to film an unboxing video of my lifestyle subscription box but I’ve been very low energy and honestly just didn’t feel like it. Maybe next time.
A plethora of products greeted me when I opened my box:
1. Castle Rock: this past week John and I binged the first season of Hulu’s new show set in the Stephen King universe. The show does have its flaws but it entertained me regardless. It also occasionally creeped me out, which is rare these days. The cast is rock solid: André Holland, Bill Skarsgård, Melanie Lynskey, Sissy Spacek, Terry O’Quinn, and Scott Glenn, to name a few. There are also Cusack and Culkin sightings. If you’re a Stephen King fan, I definitely recommend watching Castle Rock!
