A PR Gift from bareMinerals!
I’ve been running this blog for almost four years and have never received any products from a brand…until now. But there’s a first time for everything! Just before Christmas, bareMinerals very kindly sent me a box of four full sized products from their Skinlongevity collection. The box was such a wonderful surprise—thank you so much, bareMinerals!
The Best Surprise Package
A PR agency reached out to me on Instagram a few weeks ago and asked if I was interested in being added to their media list. Without a ton of followers, I was surprised to hear from an agency. I said I was interested and sent her my contact information. I certainly didn’t expect anything to come of it anytime soon. Yet on Christmas Eve day, a box from bareMinerals showed up. I was a little baffled initially because I hadn’t ordered anything, but then I remembered the PR company contact. I opened the box to find these beautifully packaged skin care products:
Days later, I’m still in a bit of shock that I received a PR box. Frankly, I wondered if someone made a mistake and that I’m actually Hrundi V. Bakshi at the bareMinerals party. As of this post I have just under 500 Instagram followers, which is a drop in the Instagram bucket. So it’s really nice to see agencies and brands recognizing microinfluencers. I’ve definitely purchased products that other small influencers have recommended. It’s often more about the community you’re a part of than mass influence. Sometimes all it takes is seeing one friend with killer lashes to make you go out and buy the mascara she uses.

All four products contain mineral-rich Long Life herb for protection against environmental stressors. The Skinlongevity collection aims to reduce visible signs of aging and to protect skin to keep it “looking healthier and younger, longer.” YES PLEASE!
Needless to say, I’m very excited to incorporate these products into my skin care routine. I won’t start using all four at once because I don’t want my skin to freak out. Once I’ve had a chance to use these for awhile I’ll write a post with my honest opinion on them here. So please stay tuned…
