1. New Dining Table: I’m so excited to finally have a legit dining table! At our old apartment we had a small table and chairs that we bought off of Craigslist for $50. And for the past month we’ve been eating at a grubby plastic folding table. We’re going to love eating at an actual adult dining table. 😛 A couple weeks ago we went shopping at West Elm and picked out the Tower Dining Table in Dark Mineral. It just arrived yesterday and it looks great in our dining area. Bonus: we got a discount on the table…I do love a deal!

The First Natch Beaut Collab

I’m a fan of Natch Beaut, and when host Jackie Johnson recently announced her first ever collaboration with a skin care brand, I was so excited for her! The collaboration is with Loli Beauty and includes three “pank” skin care items: an oil, a micellar water, and a mask.

I was verrrry tempted to buy the full Pank Collection, but I didn’t want to spend $102 (and that’s with a 15% off promo code; full price is $120). I settled on ordering the Pank Pitaya Mask, which is normally $38 but cost $32.30 with the promo code NATCH (+ $5.00 shipping). As of this writing, the mask is the only product still available. The rest of the collection, including the bundle, is currently sold out!

Chair, Chandelier, Kimmy Schmidt, and Cooking for a Get-Together

1. Phoebe Chair: my mom got us this beautiful chair from West Elm as a housewarming gift. We sat in a bunch of chairs in the store and once we decided which one we wanted we let my mom know what to get. And it happened to be 30% off! The chair arrived this week, and we love it. You can get this chair in a variety of fabrics and colors and there’s another leg option, but we picked the standard distressed velvet in ink blue with brass legs. It goes well with our color scheme and it shipped quickly. Some of the options take up to 12 weeks to ship! No thank you.

Four Years of Blogging

I can’t believe it’s already been four years since I started this blog! I’ve lived in four different places during over these four years: Park Slope and Windsor Terrace in Brooklyn, then we moved to DC and rented an apartment for almost two years before moving into a home that we bought. Phew! I’m happy we won’t need to move anytime soon.

Small Ulta Haul Plus More Stuff For Our Home

1. Ulta Haul: the beauty superstore sent me a 20% off code last week. Who am I to say no to that? I stocked up on a couple things (Garnier Micellar Water, clear mascara for my brows) and ordered other fun items like a cat ears headband and a makeup brush cleaning glove. I’ve also been wanting to try Patchology so I got a variety pack of three types of their eye patches. Flesh Beauty Fleshy Lips Lipstick was on sale ($10.80 instead of $18) so I ordered another shade (Pucker…and I love it!). I also got a Not Your Mother’s conditioner. With the 20% off and applying $6 in rewards points, I got all of this for $53.56. Seriously.

A Dream Bathroom Vanity

The master bathroom in our new home is quite large, at least compared to our previous bathrooms. Many years in NYC will make any bathroom outside the city look like a damn spa! My first Brooklyn apartment had no bathroom sink…true story.

Our master bathroom has two sections: one area with double sinks, and another area with the toilet and shower. Across from the sinks was a large empty area perfect for a built-in vanity for me. So we built one. AND IT IS GLORIOUS. Behold:

1. The Shining Carpet Welcome Mat: one of the items I asked for over the holidays was this “Hotel Doormat” from Middle of Beyond. My mom got it for me as a holiday gift; I saved it until we moved into our new home. We have our fun new doormat at the front door to greet visitors. As long as I don’t start seeing creepy twins and our elevator doesn’t have a REALLY heavy period (JK, we don’t have an elevator), I think our house will be okay.
