Many Gifted Empties
Happy Sephora Rouge Savings Event Day! See this post for more details about the savings event dates. I’m bummed that my favorite month is over, but I do enjoy cozy season and cooler weather.
I emptied a fair amount of beauty products last month, many of which were kindly gifted by brands. Read on to see which products I would repurchase (or would purchase on my own, for products that were gifted).
Would I Repurchase?
- Dr. Bronner’s Peppermint Organic Lip Balm [affiliate link]: a decent lip balm, nothing exciting. But I do love minty lip balms and would buy this again.
- Paula’s Choice C15 Super Booster [gifted; affiliate link]: this is a reformulated version of their OG vitamin C booster, which irritated my skin. This one didn’t really irritate my skin, but I just don’t love boosters. I’d rather use a serum or moisturizer with the ingredient included. So I wouldn’t buy on my own.
- Garnier All-in-1 Micellar Cleansing Water mini [affiliate link]: I’ve gone through so many minis and full sized bottles of this. It’s perfect for eye makeup removal. I also use it to remove SPF from my neck at night.
- Paula’s Choice Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid Broad Spectrum SPF 50 [gifted; affiliate link]: PC gifted me this particular tube, but I have purchased it on my own in the past and would do so again.
- Cocokind Rosewater Toner [gifted; affiliate link]: rosewater is such a lovely scent, and I enjoyed using this mist. I kept it in the fridge for a refreshing spritz after a home workout or a walk outdoors in the heat. Would buy on my own.
- Salish Lodge & Spa Body Wash: birthday gift from a friend. This smelled sooo nice! I haven’t opened the lotion from this set yet, but I look forward to using it.
- Dove Shea Butter & Warm Vanilla Hand Wash [gifted; affiliate link]: I didn’t love the scent of this hand wash. There was something a little too artificial about it. For that reason, I wouldn’t buy this but would consider another scent.
- Skylar Salt Air Eau de Toilette sample [affiliate link]: got this as a free gift with a Sephora purchase and immediately flagged it as my new signature scent. I’ve already bought a full sized bottle. LOVE IT.
- Beauty Pie Overnight Skin Perfector 2.0 [gifted; affiliate link]: I received this as a free gift with a Rent the Runway dress early last year. I didn’t get around to opening the product for awhile, but I did like it. The retinol in this product didn’t irritate my skin at all. The brand’s membership model doesn’t really interest me, but I would like to try more of their products.
- Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara mini [affiliate link]: a declutter because it’s been open for two or three months. This was from a holiday mascara mini trio that I bought last year and have been working my way through. I love Maybelline mascaras, and this is a good one.
- Patchology Flashpatch Rejuvenating Eye Gels [gifted; affiliate link]: I love that the brand offers a jar of these as opposed to the individually packaged sets. The gels feel so refreshing and I would buy on my own (in fact, I believe I have bought them in the past).
Masks
I only used a couple of sheet masks in October, on top of emptying the jar of eye gels.
- Wander Beauty Baggage Claim Rose Gold Eye Masks [affiliate link]: love. I keep repurchasing. What more is there to say?
- Patchology Smartmud Detox No Mess Mud Mask [gifted; affiliate link]: this is also a pretty good mask, though I do prefer clay masks in jars rather than in sheet form. Probably wouldn’t buy this one on my own.
Did you empty many products in October? I have a bit of travel for Thanksgiving, so I think November will be a decent month for empties, at least for minis.
