Rouge 2020 Holiday Haul
Sephora Rouge Holiday 2020 Haul

Welp…I wasn’t planning on buying a lot of stuff during the recent Sephora Holiday Bonus, but I ended up placing three separate orders. So here we are. To be fair, I used a $100 Beauty Insider gift card for one of the orders (I had exchanged 2500 points for the gift card), and the 20% discount didn’t apply to that order. But I’m including those items here anyway.

Below is a pic of my first batch of products. Because I placed the gift card order right after the 20% off order, Sephora mailed everything in one box! Hooray for a little less packaging and waste!

And here’s my second order, which arrived this week:

I did a little unboxed photo shoot of my first order in the back yard:

Why the Skin & Hair Care

I didn’t go ham on skin care because my skin is still on the mend from some irritation I was experiencing. But I did decide to order two creams that have worked well for my skin during the cold, dry winter months. So even though I’m kind of over Drunk Elephant, and Dr. Jart+ isn’t cruelty free, I decided to go with those because my skin isn’t really up for trying a bunch of new things. Sometime you gotta stick with what works.

I also figured I’d get a pack of the Wander Beauty eye masks, because I love those! As for the hand sanitizer, well, there’s no shortage of use for that anytime soon.

Olaplex always seems to have fans, so I got the kit to try out. I ended up liking the products enough to get a full sized shampoo and hair perfector. The conditioner is also en route via another order I placed recently…lollllll.

Rare Beauty Impressions

I was curious about Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez, and I’m happy with the items I picked out. The mini Soft Pinch Liquid Blush (shade: Bliss) reminds me a bit of Glossier Cloud Paint, which I love. The With Gratitude Dewy Lip Balm (shade: Thankful) is a lovely tinted balm with a hydrating feel.

And I’m liking the liquid eyeliner; it’s sort of like the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, but with a slightly stiffer tip (that’s what she said). The packaging on these products are sleek and have a bit of a Fenty Beauty vibe.

Natasha Products

I had my eye on the Natasha Denona Glam Palette for awhile, and knew I was going to use my Rouge gift card to buy it. This is one stunning neutral palette:

Natasha Denona Glam Eyeshadow Palette

The shades look a little warm in the above photo but that’s because I took it in bright sunlight. I love that the shadow names indicate where to place them on your eyelid; obviously you can use them however you’d like, but I appreciate the foolproof nature!

I’ve used the palette a few times and the shadows are so soft and blend well. There’s some fallout, but show me an eyeshadow that has zero fallout. Really, I’d love to see it.

The I Need a Nude lipstick has already gone back to Sephora in the mail. Look…it’s really hard to select a nude lipstick online. I googled swatches before ordering and settled on Yana, but it just didn’t look good on me. The shade was kind of muddy on my skin tone. I’d love to find the right nude from this lipstick line, but I think I have to wait until I feel okay going back into a Sephora store again.

Lip Care

As for the Bite nighttime lip therapy: I bought a mini of it awhile back and have been liking it. I don’t love it as much as I loved the original formula of their Agave lip mask, but if I apply a thick enough layer before bed it works pretty well for me. So I figured I’d pick up a full sized version.

The Fresh Sugar Lip Tints are so great! I love the formula, the colors, and the fact that they have SPF. I’ve actually finished up multiple full sized tubes of these in a variety of colors, and I decided to pick up a shade I haven’t tried before. Somehow I managed to add a second Spice to my cart and didn’t notice before checking out, so I’m all set on these for quite awhile.

Sooooooo, yeah. That’s a lot of stuff. But my haul is a good mix of things that I know I’ll use and things I’ve just tried and am enjoying. The only dud was the nude lipstick.

Did you order a big haul with the recent discounts? Do tell in the comments!
