Sephora In-Store VIB Bonus Haul
A Spring VIB Haul

I’ve been meaning to write this post for a few days but kept putting it off because I wasn’t in a writing mood. I even skipped writing a Friday Five last week! It happens to the best of us. Anyway, I’m finally here to share the goodies that I purchased with my 15% off VIB discount during Sephora’s latest beauty insider event!

I made two separate purchases: one in-store the day the event launched, and one online for the items that my store didn’t carry (my local store is pretty small). The in-store half of my haul included the items pictured here:

I don’t have one full haul photo because I opened and started using some of the products from my in-store purchase before my online order arrived. I was too excited to wait and photograph them all together! My online order consisted of four more items:

My New Goodies!
The Dewy Skin Cream

So let’s go through these products and why I chose to buy them! Let me first say the Supergoop! Everyday Sunscreen is a multiple-times repurchase. It’s my go-to body sunscreen so I like to stock up at a discount when I can. Summer is coming so we’ll always need more sunscreen in our household (my husband likes it too).

Okay! The first product I added to my shopping list was The Dewy Skin Cream from Tatcha. This is a new release and I’ve been wanting to try it ever since I heard about it! I recently emptied The Water Cream so this was a great time to pick up the new Tatcha cream. This cream is meant for dry skin, while the Water Cream is intended more for normal to oily skin. My skin is dry so buying this cream felt like the right move.

Tatcha’s packaging is GORGEOUS, as always. Look at that swirly purple goodness inside!

I’ve started to use this as my night cream and so far so good! I haven’t been using it for long enough to offer more than a first impression but I do love the scent and texture.

The Lip Gloss

The Sephora Collection Ultra Shine Lip Gel in Perfect Nude was my only impulse purchase. I received a sample of this lip gloss way back in my November 2017 Play! by Sephora box and ended up loving the shade. It really is the perfect nude for me! While shopping at my local Sephora I walked past the Sephora Collection display and this lip gloss was front and center so I picked one up. (I’m so impressionable, haha!) Seeing as how my sample is fairly old I figured it was time to toss it and start using a fresh one.

Silk Scrunchies!

I’m actually trying to make a little effort with my hair and I keep hearing how much better silk scrunchies are than hair ties. So I bought this three-pack of Slip mini scrunchies, which are a good size for my super fine hair. Regular drugstore hair ties have definitely caused breakage so hopefully using these will help reduce future damage. In addition to scrunchying (is that a word?) my hair back during the day when needed, I’ve started using these to secure my hair in a teeny tiny topknot before bed to reduce breakage during sleep.

Mini Rewards

At checkout in the store I decided to get two 100-point rewards using VIB points. Sephora Collection recently came out with a clean skin care line that I’ve been interested in trying, so I got the All Day Hydrator cream. I also couldn’t resist getting the Drunk Elephant C-Tango eye cream because I hadn’t tried it yet. I’ve started using the eye cream each morning and have used the SC as an AM moisturizer a few times, and again, so far so good!

The Serum

I recently emptied the bottle of bareMinerals Skinlongevity Vital Power Infusion Serum that the brand gifted me, so this was the perfect time to restock. I really like this serum! You can check out my thoughts on it over here.

The Powder SPF

I’ve been wanting to get a powder SPF for touch-ups during the day and settled on Supergoop! Invincible Setting Powder SPF 45 in the Translucent shade. My store had the other shades (Light, Medium, Deep) but not Translucent, so this was the first thing I added to my online order. I love that they sell refills for $18 so you don’t have to repurchase a whole new thing. I’ve only used this powder a couple times so far so I don’t really have much to say about its performance yet.

The Color Corrector

I’ve been curious about the Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Cream SPF 30 for awhile now. I’ve swatched it on my hand in the store many times. So when I noticed that a mini size was available online I finally decided to make the purchase. I’ve had some redness on my cheeks lately so I wanted to see if this might help tone that down. And the fact that this has SPF 30 is a bonus!

The cream is green in the jar but once you apply it, it blends out into your skin tone. It’s sort of like a tinted moisturizer. I can’t say how well this would blend with darker skin tones, but it does work on my fair skin. The jury is still out on this product as well because I’ve only tried it a couple times.

The Foot Peel

I love a foot peel! My feet have been looking pretty rough lately and with warm weather around the corner I decided to get the Boscia Baby Soft Foot Peel. I’ve had my eye on this peel for awhile but didn’t want to bother using it over the winter. I used the peel this past Friday night and my feet started peeling in the shower this morning. It takes around a week or so to get the full peeling effect, so we’ll see how this goes!

That’s it for my spring haul! I stuck heavily to skin care because I don’t currently need any makeup. I mean…I did just get the Urban Decay Game of Thrones Vault, so I’m pretty much set for the foreseeable future.

What did you get with your discount? Did you use it to stock up on favorites or try some new things?
