Loads of Late Year Empties

Happy December! This year has felt long, but once November hit I suddenly became acutely aware of how soon 2023 would be over. Time is weird.

I emptied a lot of beauty products last month…so many that I had to break them up into three photos. This first photo is just of the facial skin care that I emptied…keep scrolling to find out which products I would repurchase.

November 2023 skin care empties

Here are my body and hair care empties from November:

Body and hair care empties, November 2023

Would I Repurchase?

From the first photo:

  • Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, All-in-1 [affiliate link]: I’ve emptied many bottles of this and will continue to purchase it.
  • Bioderma L’Eau Micellar mini [affiliate link]: bought from a Parisian pharmacy. I will also repurchase this, though the Garnier version is more affordable.
  • Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Recovery Lip Mask [affiliate link]: bought as a replacement for the Bite Agave Lip Mask that was discontinued but has since been resurrected via Lip Lab. The Fresh one isn’t quite as good, but I liked it enough to empty and will consider repurchasing.
  • Cocokind Resurrection Polypeptide Cream [gifted; affiliate link]: this cream is very hydrating and my skin liked it. However, it’s pretty thick and takes more time to rub into the skin than most creams I’ve tried. For that reason, I don’t think I’d purchase this on my own. But I appreciated the opportunity to try it for free.
  • Maelove Sheer Silk Face Cleanser for Dry Skin [gifted; affiliate link]: a lovely gentle cleanser that I used in the shower each morning. It’s reasonably priced ($22.95) and I would purchase on my own.
  • Cocokind Oil to Milk Cleanser [gifted; affiliate link]: this was a nice first cleanse in the evening. I didn’t love the scent (though it doesn’t contain fragrance as an ingredient), so for that reason I would probably put it lower on my list of items that I’d purchase on my own.
  • Cocokind Daily SPF Facial Suncreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 32 [gifted; affiliate link]: quite a thick physical sunscreen that takes a bit of work to rub in. My skin is very light, so I can’t say whether this sunscreen would leave a white cast on darker skin tones. Also, I prefer a higher SPF, so I wouldn’t buy this on my own.
  • Dieux Auracle Reviving Eye Gel [affiliate link]: I really liked this light eye gel. I’m currently working my way through some gifted eye creams, but will likely repurchase this once I have a need for a new eye cream.

From the second photo:

  • Saint-Gervais Mont Blanc Eau Thermale Anti-Dryness Shower Gel: from our vacation in France. I’ve already opened the second of three bottles. This is a mildly scented, gentle shower gel and I haven’t experienced too much dryness while using it thus far.
  • Nécessaire The Body Lotion, Fragrance-Free [affiliate link]: this brand has gifted me products but I purchased this on my own. This is a good unscented lotion that moisturizes without irritating my skin. I bought another tube during the recent Sephora savings event.
  • Nécessaire The Deodorant Gel, Fragrance-Free [affiliate link]: this brand has gifted me products but I purchased this on my own. I liked this deodorant and stocked up on two more with my Sephora discount.
  • Nutrafol Hair Serum [affiliate link]: I feel like I’m seeing a teeeeeeeny tiny bit of growth near the front of my scalp after using this for a couple months, so I bought a couple more bottles during the Sephora sale. I’m skeptical about hair serums and supplements, but we’ll see.
  • Kitsch Shave Butter [affiliate link]: I purchased several bars of this awhile back, and I have two more to go. I’m liking it and it’s not irritating my sensitive leg skin.
Masking

I also emptied a few single use packets:

November single use empties

  • Dr. Jart+ Dermask Micro Jet Brightening Solution [affiliate link]: I enjoy most Dr. Jart masks, and this one is no exception. I think I still have one or two left and would buy more.
  • Patchology 12 Absorbing Hydrocolloid Dots from the Breakout Box [gifted; affiliate link]: these worked pretty well for me and I would buy on my own.
  • Patchology Detoxifying Charcoal Nose Strip [gifted]: would buy on my own. It’s so satisfying to see all the gunk these things pull out of your nose pores.
  • Embryolisse Masque Hydration Intense and Eau de Beauté Rosamélis sample packets: received these when I bought the brand’s Lait-Crème at a pharmacy in the French Alps. I used both of these while in St. Louis for Thanksgiving and really liked them. I especially loved the scent of the mask. I would absolutely buy the mask, and would consider the toner as well.

My guess is I won’t empty so many products in December. November was an empties month for the books!

I hope you have a happy holiday season, no matter what you celebrate. 🙂
