So Many Goodies
For every birthday and holiday season, my mom asks me for a gift idea list; these are the items I came up with this time around (minus a couple small gifts I forgot to include in the photo). And my parents sent me everything on my list! I’m very grateful. 🙂

A Closer Look
Let’s get a better look at some of these goodies! Note: I tried taking pics of myself wearing the jewelry, but it was difficult to take pics that truly capture its detail. So if you’d like to see good photos of the necklace and earrings, please click the links above.
My First Huda Palette
Okay! I picked out this Huda Beauty eyeshadow palette because I haven’t tried the brand and Instagrammers seem to love it. #influenced
Folks especially seem to like her Obsessions eyeshadow palettes, which are small (good for travel) and contain nine shades. Some of these palettes have pretty bold colors that I wouldn’t get much use out of, but I thought the Khaki palette’s shades looked wearable for me.
The shades in the below photo look a bit peachier than they do in person, because I took the photo in direct sunlight. The palette is a little on the warm side, but not in an aggressively red or orange way. This will be a good palette for holiday looks because it has a nice mix of mattes and sparkles.
Skin Care Picks
I didn’t need much skin care after stocking up during the Sephora holiday event. But I did request a few skin care treats, including the Dr. Jart+ sheet mask set, the limited edition pink Wander Beauty eye masks (I love their gold and rose gold ones), and a YTTP facial mist that I’ve been wanting to try.
Full disclosure: YTTP has sent me products in the past, but I have also bought some of their products on my own.
Ilia Minis Set
Anyone remember the 80’s TV sitcom Small Wonder about a little robot girl? I can’t not think about it when I look at this beauty set’s name, haha.
After trying and loving the Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint, I wanted to try more from the brand. I’ve heard great things about their mascaras, and the Small Wonders set seemed like a good gift option because it includes minis of both Ilia mascaras. There’s also an overnight lip treatment and a tinted lip oil. Very excited to dive into these baby beauties:
The Tarot Planner
I saw this 2022 Writual tarot planner advertised on Instagram and thought it was so pretty. It’s a hefty spiralbound paperback notebook comprised of monthly and weekly pages in which you can write and reflect on any tarot spreads you do. I don’t use tarot cards regularly and I’m still a total newbie, but this looked like a fun way to keep track of the cards I pull…and it might motivate me to use my tarot decks on a more regular basis.
Thanks to my parents for sending me all of these lovely gifts! I can’t wait to use my new goodies. I’ve already worn the earring set and the necklace, and they’re beautiful. 2022 needs to get here ASAP so I can start filling in the Writual planner with tarot spreads and notes. 🙂
Do you have any specific gifts you’re hoping to receive for the holidays this year?
