Plenty of Spring Empties

Happy May! Spring has fully arrived here in DC, and it has been so beautiful. We had some travel in early April and had a couple visitors as well, so it was a fairly busy month. I have quite a few empties from April, along with some declutters and single use products (apologies to Mother Earth).

April 2025 Beauty Empties

Would I Repurchase?
  • Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops mini [affiliate link]: I think this was from the 2024 Sephora birthday gift. I liked using it as a makeup primer before going out while traveling. Would consider buying full sized.
  • Lume  Clean Tangerine Whole Body Invisible Cream Tube Deodorant mini [affiliate link]: this stuff really does a good job of getting the stink out of your pits. I don’t know how they do it! I now have another mini as well as a full sized cream deodorant stick.
  • Cocokind Peptide Fine Line Eye Gel [gifted; affiliate link]: this was a nice eye gel, nothing that I noticed any particular benefit from. I wouldn’t actually call it a gel, it’s more of a pearly, light cream. Probably wouldn’t buy it on my own, but I always appreciate getting to try new products!
  • Maelove Moonlight Retinal Super Serum [gifted; affiliate link]: another gifted product that I liked using but probably wouldn’t buy on my own. It’s very yellow, which stains my face. If I had white pillowcases (I don’t), I feel like it would stain them. However, I never experienced any irritation, so I did appreciate that!
  • Vacation SPF 50 Super Spritzer Face Mist mini [affiliate link]: bought this on a whim at Target because this brand’s 80’s design is so freaking spot-on. It smells nice, but I don’t actually like using spray sunscreens. The branding sucked me in, haha. I did use this up, though, but wouldn’t buy it full sized.
  • Youth to the People Superfood Cleanser mini [affiliate link]: this brand has gifted me products in the past. I love this cleanser and always like having a mini in my travel bag. I’ve already bought another mini.
  • Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water All-In- Remover & Cleanser mini [affiliate link]: another product I always have on hand at home and for travel.
  • Cocokind Ceramide Barrier Serum [gifted; affiliate link]: this is a jumbo-sized bottle that the brand gifted me. It’s a good serum for wintertime, as it adds a nice layer of hydration. I don’t find that I really need it in warmer weather but I would consider buying for winter.
  • Prose Custom Shampoo: this brand customizes hair care formulas for you based on a quiz you fill out, and you can select your scent. I love the botanica scent that I selected, and the formula is pretty good for my fine, thin hair. I have a backlog of this subscription shampoo; I’ve canceled my subscription, but I would considering restarting it sometime.
  • Kosas Air Brow in Clear [affiliate link]: love this; it’s not the first tube I’ve gone through. I already have two backups in my stash.
  • Heretic Parfum Coeur Noir sample: I received this sample when I ordered their limited edition Nosferatu fragrance. It smelled good, very dark and cedar-y. I don’t know if I loved it enough to get one full sized, but I liked it enough to use the sample up.
Declutters

April 2025 declutters

  • Iris & Romeo Weekend Skin SPF 50 + Vitamin C + Glow mini [affiliate link]: this came in a set, and I unfortunately did not like it enough to use more than a few times. It’s very thick, the shade is a little off for me, and it pilled with my skin care. This one’s a no for me, unfortunately.
  • Trader Joe’s Illuminating Daily Facial Sunscreen SPF 40 mini: from the 2024 12 Days of Beauty Box. The shade didn’t work for me either; it’s a little too bronze for my skin tone. So I only used it a few times as well.
  • Vacation Classic Lotion SPF 50 [affiliate link]: I was really bummed to have to declutter this sunscreen. I purchased it last year and did like it, but then we went into winter and we didn’t use it for months. By the time I needed to use body suncreen again, the formula had separated, and it wouldn’t reintegrate no matter how much I shook the tube. So I would purchase this again, but only if I knew I could use it up fairly quickly.
  • Kosas Revealer Super Creamy & Brightening Concealer in shade 01N [affiliate link]: I have used this in a different shade and loved it. Then I bought a different shade thinking it was a better match for me, but it ended up being too light. So I wasn’t really using it and it had been open for long enough that it was time to toss.
  • Sephora Collection Size Up Mascara [affiliate link]: this came in a Sephora Favorites kit that I bought awhile back. I liked the volumizing effect, but this smudged pretty badly under my eyes. These days I have SUCH a hard time finding mascara that doesn’t smudge at least a bit, but this one smudged badly enough that I decided it had to go.
Masking & More

April 2025 masking and more

  • Talika Paris Bio Enzymes Mask – Brightening: discovered this brand in a Paris pharmacy and ordered more products online. I like this mask and would buy it again.
  • Talika Paris Bio Enzymes Mask – Anti-Aging Neck: you don’t see a lot of neck masks and I think they’re fun to use. I have one more of these and would buy them again.
  • Rare Beauty Find Comfort Hydrating Under Eye Patches [affiliate link]: I’ve talked about my love for these in the past.
  • Dr. Dennis Gross Universal Daily Peel x 2 [affiliate link]: from my recent Sephora haul. I’ve only used the peel twice, but I do feel like my skin looks a little more radiant the next day. We’ll see how I feel after I’ve used the whole box; it’s too soon to say whether I’d repurchase.

Thanks for reading! I hope you are enjoying the spring weather in your area. It’s such a treat to have nice weather before the hell of summer descends upon us.
