Mini Ulta & Sephora Hauls
While we’ve been staying in, there have been plenty of sales to try to keep the economy going. So, you know, I’m just doing my part with a couple small beauty hauls. 😛 Ulta had a sale recently with some hard-to-resist offers, so this is what I ordered:
Ulta had buy two, get two free on select sheet masks so I bought a few things:
- TONYMOLY Changing Magic Foot Peeling Shoes (I’ve used this before and liked it)
- SNP Anti-Aging Sheet Mask Cat
- TONYMOLY I’m Cherry Blossom Mask Sheet
- TONYMOLY I’m Red Wine Mask Sheet
I added the Oozoo Bear Aurora Illuminating Mask to my order to meet the free shipping minimum. I’m almost out of my Thayer’s Alcohol-Free Unscented Witch Hazel Facial Toner, which happened to be 30% off, so I ordered a bottle of that. And I got the Real Techniques Enhanced Eye Set for $11.99 instead of $19.99. These are my first eye brushes from Real Techniques, and I’m looking forward to trying them out!
New Hair Care & a Half Off Palette
When Drunk Elephant announced a new hair care and body care collection awhile back, I got excited. Though I’m not big on hair care, I really wanted to try their Cocomino Glossing Shampoo [affiliate link]. I added it to my cart, and one day when Sephora offered the Urban Decay Naked Reloaded [affiliate link] palette for 50% off, I went ahead and ordered that along with the Drunk Elephant shampoo.
So far, I like the DE shampoo enough that I decided to order a second bottle during the Rouge 20% off event that’s currently happening!
Naked Reloaded
When I ordered the Naked Reloaded palette, I paid zero attention to the packaging. So when my order arrived, I was super pleasantly surprised to see that it has orchids on it! The packaging design made this orchid nerd VERY HAPPY. I literally gasped when I took the palette out of the box. It. Is. Stunning.
Here’s a look at the shades, which are warm-leaning neutrals with one pop of coral. Now that I see the orchid packaging design, my guess is the coral is meant to mimic the lip of an orchid.
Swatch Time
Let’s take a look at swatches on my fair skin, shall we? I swatched the first six shades from left to right moving from top down on my arm: Bribe, Barely Baked, Angel Fire, Retro, Reputation, and Burn.
Now we go from the middle of the palette on over to the last one on the right: End Game, Dreamweaver, Distilled, Bucked, Boundaries, and Blur.
I’ve really been loving this palette! A couple of the shades are a little warm for my taste, but overall it’s a really good set of colors for this neutral fan. The palette has a good mix of mattes, shimmers, and metallics, and I think they blend easily. There’s some fallout, but that’s to be expected with Urban Decay. I just tap the excess shadow off my brush before applying it. I’m going to have a lot of fun playing with different neutral looks using this palette.
I hope you enjoying seeing my recent beauty hauls! I haven’t been writing a whole lot lately because my arm has been on fire from using my phone too much (and also playing Animal Crossing on the Switch). I’m going to try my best to write more here when I feel able. Hope you’re doing well and staying safe!
