Late Spring Empties
Happy June! We recently returned from a short trip to Austin to see my oldest niece graduate from high school. Big congrats to her!! We have a vacation coming up very shortly that I’m very excited about and will of course recap here after the fact.
Let’s take a look at the beauty products I emptied in May:

Would I Repurchase?
- Sleep Aromatherapy Oil Rollerball: I don’t know the brand name of this rollerball because I threw it away after taking the photo. And the brand name is on the back of the tube. Whoopsie! I bought this at the Cavalier Hotel spa store during a holiday stay; the rose quartz crystals inside the tube caught my eye. Most nights, I applied a bit of this behind my ears before getting into bed. The scent of this was a little too powdery IMO, but I liked it enough to use it up. Would probably not repurchase this particular scent.
- Tower 28 SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray mini [affiliate link]: I’ve used up a full sized bottle of this, and I have a second mini that I’ll be taking on our upcoming trip. I like this stuff!
- Vanicream Moisturizing Cream [affiliate link]: love. I’ve already opened my next tub. This is my go-to hand cream because it doesn’t irritate my skin whatsoever.
- Salish Lodge & Spa Body Lotion: gifted by a friend after she visited the hotel. I’ve already used up the body wash that she sent me along with the lotion. This smells sooo good!
- Trader Joe’s Hydrating Rice Facial Essence mini: from the 12 Days of Beauty Box. I liked this and would consider buying full sized if they ever release it.
- Native Body Wash, Eucalyptus & Mint [affiliate link]: I liked the scent, but I didn’t love the packaging. I see that they offer pump bottles, so I would consider trying that.
- Nécessaire The Hand Cream [gifted; affiliate link]: this fragrance-free hand cream is pretty good, but the finish is a little slippery for my taste. I’m grateful that the brand gifted it to me, but it’s not something I’d buy on my own.
- Youth to the People Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask [gifted; affiliate link]: I love this brand and am always grateful when I receive gifts from them. The dream mask is a great night cream! I would purchase this on my own….and I think I might have in the past.
- Frownies Gentle Lifts: I’ve been using these on a small wrinkle above my lip. I do think they help smooth lines a bit with regular use. You’re not going to get Botox-level smoothing with Frownies, but if you’re not interested in that (which I’m not at the moment) and can maintain consistent use, these are good to try.
Declutters

- Cocokind Ceramide Lip Blur in Be Real [gifted; affiliate link]: Cocokind gifted me all five lip blurs upon their release. Unfortunately, I had to stop using this lip balm a couple months after I opened it because I think the applicator tip started to grow mold. Not sure if anyone else has experienced mold with this product, but I took a couple photos and am going to email it to the brand. For pretty obvious reasons, I would not buy these.
- Trader Joe’s Forest Fig & Blackberry Ultra Moisturizing Hand Cream: from the 12 Days of Beauty box. I liked the scent at first, but the more I sat with it, the more I hated it. One use and this is going in the trash.
That’s a wrap on my May empties! Stay tuned for a recap of our upcoming vacation…I will leave the destination up to your imagination. Any guesses on where we might be headed?
