Birthday Month Empties
Happy July! My birthday month has now come to a close, and while it was a sad time, I also managed to have some fun times as well. Now that we live in LA and have several movie theaters a short drive from our place, we’ve joined AMC A-List and I’ve been seeing at least two movies a week. It’s been quite enjoyable and I’ve seen some great original horror movies such as Hokum, Backrooms, and Obsession.
But we’re not here to talk movies; we’re here to talk beauty empties! Let’s get into it.
Would I Repurchase?
- Kérastase Chronologiste Overnight Youth Serum mini [affiliate link]: I love the scent of this hair serum and I feel like it makes my hair look fluffier. I’ve already purchased this full sized.
- Youth to the People Superfood Cleanser [gifted; affiliate link]: a great cleanser for my PM routine. The brand has sent me another bottle, which I will happily use.
- Peach Slices Snail Rescue Intensive Wash-Off Jelly Mask [gifted; affiliate link]: this mask has a really cool texture and I liked using it once a week or so, before showering. I would consider buying this on my own.
- Laneige Cream Skin Cerapeptide Mist mini [affiliate link]: from the Sephora Favorites Korean Skincare set. This mist was fine, nothing special for me. I wouldn’t buy full sized.
- Doctor Rogers Face Wash mini [gifted; affiliate link]: a really nice, gentle cleanser that I was able to use after my laser treatment last fall. Also great for travel. I’d consider buying full sized.
- Tatcha The Milky Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ PA++++ [affiliate link]: I love this new sunscreen! Tatcha almost never misses, and they did a great job with this formula. It’s not cheap ($50 full price) but I would repurchase at a discount.
- Paula’s Choice Pro Retinaldehyde Dual-Retinol Treatment [affiliate link]: PC has gifted me this product and others in the past, but I purchased this one. I believe I’m now on my third bottle.
- U Beauty The Sculpt Neck Neck + Décolleté Concentrate mini [affiliate link]: this is pricey and it’s hard for me to tell if I saw any difference while using it, so I probably wouldn’t buy full sized. I’m still interested in trying other products by the brand, though.
- Heretic Parfum Nocturnal Tuberose sample: this fragrance brand makes such unique scents and for the most part, I’ve liked them. This one was no exception. I didn’t love it enough to buy full sized, but I liked the scent enough to empty the sample.
- Dieux Skin Instant Angel mini [affiliate link]: free gift from a recent Sephora order. I’ve bought this full sized a couple times and would do so again.
Single Use and a Declutter
- Peach & Lily Glass Skin Ginseng Collagen Mask [affiliate link]: the brand has gifted me this product, but I’ve since purchased it on my own. I love using this before parties and events! Would buy again.
- Sungboon Editor Deep Collagen Hyalu-B5 Hydrating Mask [affiliate link]: picked this up on a whim at Target, and I found it to be quite hydrating. Would repurchase.
- grace & stella Energizing Eye Masks: from a Costco multipack. I haven’t seen these there lately, but I would buy them again.
- Rare Beauty Find Comfort Hydrating Under Eye Patches [affiliate link]: love these!
- Bioeffect Imprinting Eye Mask [affiliate link]: the last pair from my purchase in Reyjkavik. Pretty pricey, but I would buy them again next time I go to Iceland (and I WILL return!!).
- Dr. Dennis Gross Universal Daily Peel x 3 [affiliate link]: still liking these, worth buying at a discount.
- Maybelline Sky High Mascara mini [affiliate link]: from a holiday mini trio. These days, I find it extremely hard to find mascara that doesn’t smudge under my eyes. I don’t know if it’s me or today’s formulas, but I wouldn’t buy this one full sized because it smudged. Not as badly as others, but any smudging is a no for me.
