Birthday Month Beauty Empties

My birthday month has come to a close, and it was a great one! It’s nice to feel like life has basically gone back to normal. I emptied a fair amount of products last month, and had a few items to declutter as well.

Would I Repurchase?
  • Osmosis MD Boost Peptide Activating Mist [affiliate link]: I’ve gone through several bottles of this mist and would still repurchase.
  • Paula’s Choice Repairing Serum [gifted; affiliate link]: PC targets this serum toward people with sensitive skin and redness, which I don’t usually have. But I did really like this gentle serum, which my skin drank in very easily. I’d consider buying this in the winter if I’m having irritation.
  • Missha Aqua Sun SPF 50+ PA++++ [affiliate link]: initially gifted by Stylevana, but I liked it enough to buy on my own. I’m fully stocked on SPF, but would buy this in the future.
  • Youth to the People Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Oil [affiliate link]: YTTP has gifted me products, but I bought this one on my own. This is a really nice oil that doesn’t feel too heavy and soaks in well. I’d definitely consider buying again, particularly in the dry months when I need a little extra moisture.
  • Vegamour Gro Hair Serum [affiliate link]: I used this for awhile, then stopped for awhile, but started back up again. I don’t really see hair growth when I use this. However, I do notice less shedding, so that’s good enough for me. I’m on my next bottle.
  • Cocokind MyMatcha All-Over Moisture Stick [affiliate link]: I mostly used this as a lip balm and liked it. It’s one of those big chubby sticks, so it lasted me forever! Would consider repurchasing.
Masks & Declutters

June mask empties & declutters

  • L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara [affiliate link]: I finally tried this mascara, which is often on “fave mascara” lists. Honestly, I wouldn’t call this one a holy grail for me. It’s pretty good, but I think I still prefer Maybelline Lash Sensational. This is a declutter because it had been open for a few months.
  • Dr. Dennis Gross Clarifying Colloidal Sulfur Mask mini [affiliate link]: received this sample with a Dermstore order. I have a little cluster of under-the-skin whiteheads on my chin that randomly decide to pop up, and I used up this mini trying to combat them. I do think it helped shrink them when they sprouted. I don’t think I’d buy this full sized, but if you regularly experience acne, this might be a good mask to try.
  • Lululun Precious Green Sheet Mask [gifted; affiliate link]: loved these, and love that they come in 7-packs (they also sell 32-packs). They’re slightly less terrible for the environment due to less packaging, so they’re a good option for those of us who still enjoy using sheet masks.
  • Paula’s Choice Niacinamide 20% Treatment [gifted; affiliate link]: this treatment is a declutter. I think the formula was a little strong for my skin; I felt like I occasionally ended up with tiny itchy spots after using it. When you use lots of products it can be hard to tell what’s causing irritation, but I decided to let this one go.
  • Patchology Flashmasque Illuminate [gifted; affiliate link]: I do love this brand’s masks! I’ve bought this one on my own before Patchology sent me a couple. I would buy it again.
  • Penhaligon’s Empressa sample [affiliate link]: from a Penhaligon’s fragrance sample set. I heard about this British luxury perfume brand on a podcast and decided to try a sampler. I haven’t fallen in love with any of the scents, but most of them are good enough to at least use up the samples. This is one of the scents I liked best, but I didn’t like it enough to shell out the cash for a full sized bottle.

That’s a wrap on June! Have a happy and safe Fourth of July celebration, whatever you end up doing. We have nothing planned, so we’re going to see where the weekend takes us.
