Spooky Season, NYC, and more

1. RHAP Live in NYC: I had the pleasure of attending my fourth RHAP Live show last week! This was the third time I went to RHAP Live in NYC. If you’re a Survivor fan, you have to go to one of these events. You get to sit in a theater and watch the show with hundreds of other fans, then watch a live podcast hosted by Rob Cesternino as he discusses the episode with a rotating panel of former players. The after-party is also a blast. Five stars.

2. Stranger Things: The First Shadow: holy SHIT. This Broadway prequel to the Netflix series is INCREDIBLE. We hadn’t even planned on going to this when we were in NYC, but we bought discounted tickets on Wednesday for the Thursday evening show. I knew nothing about the show, and I was blown away. Wow. What a perfect activity for spooky season, too. I found out afterward that the show won several technical Tony awards, and I totally see why. Go see this if you are Stranger Things fan!

3. Mooncat Danse Macabre: I NEVER win Instagram giveaways, but somehow luck found me and I won this new fall collection from my favorite nail polish brand! I could not believe it! Mooncat sent me all eight of their stunning new shades. I’ve tried them all and love each one, but Clair de Lune is my favorite (you can see it on my thumbnail in the above Playbill pic).

Top L to R: Clair de Lune, Pearl Clutcher, Heart on a Platter, The Living Doll. Bottom L to R: Hell is Other People, The Silent Scream, The Doppleganger, Requiem for a Swan

4. Halloween Beauty Goodies: while browsing at Target recently, I picked up these Halloween themed Masquebar sheet masks, along with a set of teensy Burt’s Bee’s lip balms. The masks will be so fun to use during spooky season, and I always love Burt’s Bee’s basic lip balm!

5. Horror Figural Bag Clips: I did a Spirit Halloween run a couple weeks ago and picked up three of these blind bags in the checkout lane. I’m very happy with all three! The Beetlejuice snake is actually one of the two mystery exclusives from that series! The Little Red Riding Hood from Trick ‘r Treat is adorable, and the toilet Killer Klown is just hilarious.
