Live Survivor Podcast and more
1. RHAP Live in NYC: last week, we traveled to NYC for our third live Rob Has a Podcast Survivor event! I’ve been to one in DC and another one in NY before, and they are always a total blast. Nothing beats watching a Survivor episode in a theater with 900 other fans. Watching a live podcast immediately afterward featuring former players is always a good time as well. My photos from the event aren’t great, but you can watch the full podcast here. And if you can manage to get tickets, the afterparty is super, super fun! I love meeting other fans and talking to players. 10/10 would recommend if you’re a Survivor fan.
2. Jeff Probst T-Shirt: speaking of Survivor, the RHAP Tuesday night Patron party was the perfect opportunity to bust out my Jeff t-shirt. I got compliments on my shirt, including from some former players! I had seen folks wearing this shirt on social media so I hunted it down on Etsy and ordered one for myself. Love it!
3. Denim Jumpsuit: I had been wanting a denim jumpsuit for some time and finally found one that I liked on Target’s website. They don’t appear to carry this exact style anymore, so I’m happy I got it! The brand is Universal Thread and it cost $44. It’s a pain in the ass to disrobe every time I use the bathroom while I’m wearing this, but I received a compliment on it the first night I ever wore it out while in NYC.
4. Pottery Class: I don’t think I’ve mentioned that I started taking a pottery class earlier this year. Throwing pottery on the wheel is not easy at all. I have such an appreciation for well-crafted ceramics now! I’m still very much a beginner, but I’ve made a few pieces that I’m very proud of, including the small plate you see pictured below. This was the first piece that I was really happy with, but I thought it had exploded in the kiln because it didn’t show up on my studio shelf after glazing. Turns out it ended up on the unclaimed piece shelf even though it had my maker’s mark on the bottom, and I randomly spotted it there a couple months after it came out of the kiln. I was soooo happy that the plate survived!!
5. Lawless Merry Minis Lip Plumper Trio: Sephora began releasing holiday sets a little while back. I decided to order this cute Lawless trio, which includes shades Rosy Outlook, Melrose, and Bitten. So far I’ve used Rosy Outlook and Melrose, and I really like both. These glosses feel hydrating and do give a bit of a plumping effect.
