Year Six of A Horror Movie a Day

It’s that time of year again: the month in which I watch at least one horror movie per day. October 2020 will be my sixth year of watching a horror movie a day! I’ve already begun decorating inside our house for Halloween, and will start putting our yard decorations out tomorrow.

2020 is a well documented shit show…this year feels like a never-ending real-life horrorshow. So the next month of fictional horror will be a nice escape and distraction from the nerve-wracking upcoming election…yikes.

Some 2020 Horror Ideas

As with previous years, I have a few ideas of what to watch. Those ideas often get thrown out as I browse and discover other options. That damn infinite scroll will get ya!

I want to re-watch The Cabin in the Woods, Trick ‘r Treat, Get Out, and Us this year. I’ll probably subscribe to Shudder for the month, because they usually have some good options. I’d also like to watch Antebellum, The Hunt, The Rental, and Winchester. I’ve been on a general 70s movie kick lately—HBO Max has an excellent selection—so I’ll probably throw some 70s horror in the mix. Any suggestions are welcome in the comments!

I’m going to skip tweeting my daily selection this year. I’ve been trying (mostly unsuccessfully) to stay off Twitter because it’s so easy to get sucked into a hole of negativity there these days. I’ll probably post my selection each day on my @sheiman Instagram stories, though.

If you want to see what I watched in the previous five years, you can check out the complete lists at the below links:
