Many Mini Empties
Happy August! I just got back from San Diego Comic-Con on Monday and managed to hammer out this empties post in my post-con glow-slash-haze. Please stay tuned for my SDCC recap coming soon!
Let’s move on to the beauty products that I emptied last month, shall we?
Would I Repurchase?
- Avène Eau Thermale [affiliate link]: from my French skin care haul. It’s taken me some time to empty this mini spray, as I used it while traveling. I love the fine mist and would totally buy this again.
- Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water [affiliate link]: I’ve gone through so many of these and will go through more.
- Youth to the People Kale + Green Tea Spinach Vitamins Superfood Cleanser [gifted; affiliate link]: I love this cleanser! The brand sent me another large bottle so I will crack it open after I finish a smaller tube of a different cleanser that I’m currently using.
- Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water mini [affiliate link]: I love using a mini of this or the Garnier for makeup removal when I travel.
- Youth to the People Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream [affiliate link]: I bought this mini on my own. It’s a great cream to use while traveling! I’m also using a full sized version as my morning cream (which the brand did gift me) right now.
- Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Serum mini [affiliate link]: from a Sephora rewards gift set. A little hard to say if I saw any benefit because this mini was so small and I only used it while traveling. But I liked the scent and it didn’t irritate my skin, so that is promising. Would consider purchasing in the future.
- Diptyque Lait Frais mini [affiliate link]: from our hotel in Geneva. I looooooove this scent. I loved it so much that I put this lotion on my birthday gift wish list and received a full sized bottle from my mom.
- Maelove The Eye Enhancer Ultimate Gel Cream [gifted; affiliate link]: this was a nice, light eye cream. I do love an eye cream that’s not too heavy. Would consider purchasing on my own.
- Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Drops, Medium (mini) [affiliate link]: a declutter. This came in the Sephora Favorites Summer Showstoppers Set that I bought during the most recent Sephora sale. I tried mixing this into my morning moisturizer a bunch of times. While I do feel like it gave me a little color as promised, I also think I got a bit of skin irritation from it. So I stopped using it and would not purchase full sized.
- Supergoop PLAY Everyday Lotion with Sunflower Extract SPF 50 [affiliate link]: not pictured. We went through a big tube of this on our Tulum vacation. And we’re almost finished with a smaller tube as well. This sunscreen is great and I will continue to buy it for both me and John.
Masking
- Talika Paris Bio Enzymes Mask Anti-Aging Neck [affiliate link]: I discovered this brand in a Parisian pharmacy and later placed an online order during a sale. I bought a couple of these neck masks and have only used one so far, so it’s hard to say if it did anything beneficial for my neck skin. But It was fun to use and I will happily use another.
- Talika Paris Bubble Mask Bio-Detox [affiliate link]: a fun mask that foams up while it’s on your face. These are a treat to use. I’m happy that I tried it but don’t think it does anything that washing your face won’t do, and the single use element is bad for the planet (which obviously goes for all of these sheet masks).
- Rare Beauty Find Comfort Hydrating Under Eye Patches [affiliate link]: new from the Selena Gomez brand. These feel really cooling and refreshing under the eyes. I bought a box so I have several more pairs to go through.
- Boscia Pore Purifying Black Charcoal Strip: RIP Boscia. I was sad to see this brand close its doors recently. I had a couple of these nose strips left over from a purchase quite some time ago, and I always love seeing all the gunk it pulls out of my pores.
July was a fairly productive month in terms of emptying products! We’ll see if August ends up coming anywhere close. Stay cool out there in the dog days of summer, folks!
