End of 2025 Empties

Happy New Year! Welcome to my final blog post of 2025, a year that everyone is excited to say goodbye to. I’m especially looking forward to our big move to LA next month, even though I’m also nervous and have a ton to do leading up to the move!

Let’s take a look at the beauty products that I emptied in the final month of 2025:

December 2025 beauty empties

Quick note: typically I include ShopMy affiliate links to buy products that I talk about. In the interest of time, I’m skipping links in this post. Instead, I’ve linked to my ShopMy page here and you can shop from the links you find there if you feel so inclined. I earn a small commission any time you shop using my links. My page isn’t fully up to date but you can find lots of goodies there that I enjoy using.

Would I Repurchase?
  • Fischersund No. 8 Fragrance mini: from the Langdegi (Light) Discovery Set that I bought at a gift shop in Reykjavik. Fragrance notes from the brand’s website are flower stalks, tart rhubarb, bergamot, orange cake, asphalt, sitka spruce. Sounds like an odd assortment, but I love this fragrance and have bought it full sized!
  • Trader Joe’s Face Cleansing Balm mini: from the 12 Days of Beauty box. Perfect as my first cleanse while traveling. I’d buy full sized if they came out with it.
  • Blue Lagoon Iceland Mineral Mask mini: also from our Iceland vacation. Love! I’ve loved all of the Blue Lagoon products that I bought there and would repurchase any of them.
  • Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 mini: a staple in my travel bag, for removing eye makeup.
  • LaRoche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer: I used this as recommended by my derm after having a Fraxel treatment in November. My skin loved it and I would buy it again, even without having a laser procedure.
  • Nutrafol Hair Serum: I think it helps reduce shedding a bit. I usually have a backup in my vanity but have been avoiding buying extras because of our upcoming move. Would buy in the future.
  • Tower 28 Daily Balancing Gel Cleanser: a really good, basic cleanser for my morning cleanse in the shower. Would repurchase.
  • Biolage Full Density Shampoo: love this. Will repurchase in LA.
  • Rare Beauty Find Comfort Stop & Soothe Aromatherapy Pen: I like the scent, but I find the tube a little hard to use. The button on the bottom is hard to push to get just the right amount of product out. For this reason, I wouldn’t repurchase.
  • Trader Joe’s Sweet Nectarine Ultra Moisturizing Hand Cream mini: also great for travel. I enjoy getting these in the 12 Days of Beauty Box.
Masking & Declutters

December 2025 mask empties & declutters

  • Rare Beauty Find Comfort Hydrating Under Eye Patches x2: I really enjoy these and would repurchase.
  • Masquebar Fantasy Jack O’Lantern Calming Sheet Mask: I used this on Xmas morning during our recent holiday getaway in Virginia Beach. It started to feel slightly itchy after awhile but fortunately didn’t cause visible irritation. Would not buy again, though.
  • Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion mini: I keep buying this and then needing to declutter it because I don’t even use the mini enough to empty it. Sooo…I should remember not to repurchase.
  • Maybelline Great Lash Mascara mini: this used to be my absolute favorite mascara. This mini came in a little holiday trio that I bought over Thanksgiving. I used it twice and it smudged SO badly underneath my eyes. No thank you.
  • Dr. Jart+ Soothing Hydra Solution: these sheet masks are great and I would repurchase.
  • Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara: a really good mascara that I just don’t use often enough to empty. But I would repurchase.
  • Bioeffect Imprinting Eye Mask: another Icelandic brand that I enjoy. Would repurchase.
  • Masquebar Fantasy Cat Moisturizing Sheet Mask: I liked this mask better than the pumpkin one, so I would repurchase.
  • Dr. Dennis Gross Universal Daily Peel Pads x2: I’m still enjoying these and will buy again at some point.
  • Grace & Stella Eye Masks, Illuminating, Energizing, Moisturizing: I bought this trio of eye masks at Costco and have been enjoying them. Will likely buy again someday.

Thanks for reading! I hope you had a wonderful New Year’s Eve. Here’s hoping that 2026 will be a better experience for all of us. My fingers are firmly crossed.

The next time I blog here, I will be living in LA, after nine years in Washington DC! How wild is that?!
