1. Ooey Gooey Butter Cake Ice Cream from Ample Hills Creamery. I’m originally from St. Louis (born and raised). There’s this thing in St. Louis called gooey butter cake, and it is ridiculous and magical. It is the unicorn of baked goods. Gooey butter cake is in no way, shape, or form good for you because it’s basically a bunch of butter and sugar. You rarely encounter gooey butter cake outside St. Louis, but Ample Hills is a Brooklyn ice cream joint that makes an ice cream with chunks of the cake mixed in, and I’ve been meaning to try it for quite awhile. A couple days ago we had REALLY nice weather so I walked on up to the Gowanus location and treated myself to a cup of the stuff while soaking up a little vitamin D on the roof deck. What I learned is that next time I need to order a large instead of a small. YES. Ooey2. Homemade Pizza Sauce. I recently embarked upon a mission to make pizza from scratch, and while my dough-making adventure failed, my pizza sauce making adventure was a big time win. It was such a success that I made a second batch and doubled the recipe so that we could have some extra in the freezer! I found this Ultimate Pizza Sauce recipe on food.com and it is so super easy to make. I like to crush the herbs with a mortar and pestle before adding them to the pot—doing so really helps bring out their flavors even more. There are three ingredients that I think make this sauce extra special: celery, parmesan, and fennel seed. I will definitely make this sauce again and again!Pizza_Sauce3. Game of Thrones Mystery Mini: Shaggydog! Remember a few weeks back we got Jon Snow in a Mystery Mini box? Well, we bought another one last weekend and ended up with little Rickon Stark’s direwolf, Shaggydog. He’s in 2 out of every 24 boxes, so he’s one of the more common ones. I actually could not for the life of me remember this direwolf’s name, so I had to look him up. I remembered the names of the other five but for some reason, this one completely escaped me! The Ghost mini would have been more appropriate since he’s Jon Snow’s direwolf, but at least our mini Jon Snow has a little buddy now. Also, as I was Googling these minis I discovered that there’s now a GoT Mystery Minis Series 2. The second series includes a lot of awesomeness, but the most awesome of all the awesomes is Oberyn Martell. OMG NEED!!! When I go to SDCC this July I will be hoarding series 2 boxes like a doomsday prepper with industrial sized cans of beans. Direwolf4. ShiKai Borage Therapy Dry Skin Lotion. A couple weeks ago I started using this lotion on my legs immediately after showering, and it’s been good to my skin so far. I’ve had a lot of trouble in the past with itchy skin on my legs, so I’ve become very picky about the lotion that I use. I prefer unscented lotion on my legs, especially in the summer when the mosquitoes are out in full force (those little fuckers LOVE me). I took a risk ordering this lotion online without having tried it, but the risk paid off. Plus, it’s rated low hazard (with limited data) in the EWG’s Skin Deep database. I’d recommend this lotion for those of you with sensitive skin!

Borage5. Mushroom Mini Vac: I use this little battery operated guy to help clean my desk. I ordered mine from Amazon awhile back for under $10, and I love it! In addition to being functional, it’s also a cute accessory to have sitting on my desktop. There are other colors available, but I went with orange because it makes me think of Super Mario Bros.
