Late Fall Empties
Happy December! I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving with your loved ones. We spent the holiday at my parents’ house in St. Louis and had some quality time with family.
Before I get into my November beauty empties, I want to share some news: John and I are moving to Los Angeles in early 2026! This has been in the works for a long time, and we’ve finally put concrete plans into motion. We are going to be sad to leave our home in DC, and big changes are always very stressful for me, but it’s also exciting. We have friends and family in LA so there’s already a built-in community waiting for us out west. Not that I blog a ton these days, but if I disappear for awhile, it’s because we’re in the process of packing and moving. I’m going to try to keep up with my blog as best I can, though.
With that news out of the way, let’s talk November empties…
Would I Repurchase?
- Thayer’s Facial Toner, Unscented [affiliate link]: I’ve emptied so many bottles of this toner and have another one in my vanity. Will continue to buy it.
- Lolavie Glossing Detangler [affiliate link]: I’ve already purchased a second bottle. A little goes a long way on my very fine, thin hair, but it makes it soft and shiny.
- Naturium Purple Ginseng Cleansing Balm [affiliate link]: I liked this affordable cleansing balm and would repurchase.
- Lush Alien Egg Farm Shower Jelly: this was fun to use but the consistency was a little stiffer than past Lush shower jellies that I remember using. In the process of washing my body with the jelly, chunks of it would fall onto the shower floor, so bits of it got wasted. This was a limited time product so it’s no longer available, but I wouldn’t repurchase this particular one.
- Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Mask [affiliate link]: this mask felt hydrating and cooling on my skin. I’d repurchase it for summertime.
- Bioeffect EGF Body Serum mini [affiliate link]: this was the second bottle of this body serum that I received as a gift with purchase at the brand’s Reykjavik store. The finish is a little oily for my taste, so I wouldn’t buy it full sized.
- Diptyque Conditioner mini: from our hotel in Geneva at the end of our France/Switzerland trip. I don’t use conditioner that much and when I do, I use it sparingly. This smelled really good but I wouldn’t buy it full sized.
- Lawless Forget the Filler Lip Plumping Line Smoothing Gloss mini in Rosy Outlook [affiliate link]: from a gift set last winter. I love this formula and would purchase this gloss again, though I currently have three more minis to use up.
Mask + A Declutter
- Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Skin Barrier Moisturizing Mask [affiliate link]: I used this a couple weeks after having my first ever Fraxel treatment. My skin was still healing a bit, and this mask caused no irritation. Would repurchase.
- Benefit 24-Hour Brow Setter mini [affiliate link]: from a Sephora set…I don’t remember which one. I liked the effect of this sticky brow setter but the formula sometimes left crusty bits in my brows. So this one is a declutter for me.
